  1. DEFINITION
    1. App means Zenka’s mobile application;
    2. Cookie means a small text file that we store on your computer or other electronic device, with your consent, when you access our website or you use our App. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer’s hard drive.
    3. Policy means this Cookie Policy;
    4. Services means Zenka’s Website and/or App.
    5. Website means www.zenka.co.ug;
    6. Zenka means Zenka Finance – SMC LTD with its registered seat in Kampala, Uganda.

    1. The brand names “Zenka”, “Zenka Finance”, “Zenka Group” as well as their accompanying logo wherein used here, are owned by and are the intellectual property of Pocco sp. z o.o. (a company incorporated under the laws of the Republic of Poland). All rights thereto are reserved.
    2. This Policy provides you with information about how Zenka uses Cookies, or, similar technologies, on our websites and applications and other services to enable us to understand how you interact with our products and services, to improve your experience, to allow you to use certain features, such as sharing content via social networks or other communications channels, and to help us remember your preferences – they are solely intended to improve your user-experience.
    3. This notice also provides information about how third parties may use such technologies in association with the operation of our Services.

  4. USE OF COOKIES BY ZENKA
    1. Cookies are widely used in order to make websites and applications work, or work more efficiently, and help them remember certain information about you, either for the duration of your visit (using a “session” cookie – erased each time you close your web browser); or for repeat visits (using a “persistent” cookie – gets erased from your device after a predefined period of time; each persistent cookie will only be activated when you visit our site).

      • Tracking Technologies including Pixels, Script, Web Beacons/Gifs, and Page Tags: these files, or, code may be included in our emails and Apps to record how you interact with us, to help us better analyse and improve our Services to you. Again, you can block the Cookies either through your browser or device settings, and these settings will apply to all Cookies whether included on websites or in emails. However, in some instances, depending on your email or browser settings, the files may be automatically accepted (for example, when you’ve added an email address to your address book or safe senders list).
      • Tracking Via Mobile Apps: When you use our mobile Apps, we may record information unique to you that are associated with your device (such as the device ID and IP address), your activity within the App, and, your network location. This information is used to measure and improve the performance of our App, to help us to know elements are the most and least popular, and, see how visitors move around the App itself. This helps us to improve the way the App works and improve user experience.

    5. We use the following kind of cookies:
      1. Google Analytics – it uses cookies to help analyse how the website is being used. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google;
      2. Session Cookies – they are automatically deleted when the browser is closed. They usually store an anonymous session ID allowing you to browse a website without having to log in to each page. They do not collect any information from your computer.
      3. Persistent cookies – is one stored as a file on your computer, and it remains there when you close your web browser. The cookie can be read by the website that created it when you visit that website again.
      4. Recommend – the Website uses a product personalisation tool which uses cookies to help analyse the products being viewed and bought. The information generated by the cookie will be used to provide a more personalised product offering to you.
      5. Provide Support – the Website uses this technology to provide real time access to our Customer Care Service via a chat window.
      6. Facebook- allows us to target the advertising we do on Facebook more effectively by matching data we hold with that held by Facebook.
      7. apis.google.com- are used to gather information using Google Analytics services allowing us to understand interactions with our websites and ultimately refine that experience to better serve you.

    1. Our third party cookies (Google Analytics, HotJar, Microsoft Clarity, Google Adwords, Facebook, X, Instagram) provides an overview of the performance, targeting, third party, and, social media domains your browser may contact as a result of a visit to our site or Apps, and our intended purpose for inclusion.
